Laura Groza got a bachelor's degree in humanities in arts from the Latvian Academy of Culture (the study program "Art of Dramatic Theater Direction"); studied at the Finnish Theater Academy (TeaK) for one semester.
She debuted as a director in 2008 at Dailes Theatre ("Heart of a Dog"), since then, she has staged more than 40 works in drama theaters, including "M. Butterfly", "Frankenstein" and "Equus" in Dailes Theatre and "1984" in Liepāja Theatre, as well as 2 operas - "The Immured" and "I Played, I Danced", several concerts and various award ceremonies.
Laura's productons were nominated for "The Players's Night", "A Kilogramme of Culture", "Prize of the Year in the Field of Culture from "Diena", "Great Music Award" and other prizes, and many of her works became laureates. On the other hand, she received the "The Players's Night" award in the category "Director of the Year" (2015).
