22.01.2024. Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre invites children to its studio
Mikhail Chekhov Theatre Studio has resumed its work and invites children, aged 7 to 12 years, to attend.
The studio for children and youth was opened in 2018 (at that time called “The Challenge”) and worked for two years, but due to the pandemic, its active work had to be interrupted. This year, the Theatre has decided to renew the program, which will provide an opportunity to learn and master the most important elements of the performing arts, not only acquiring the basic skills for a possible future profession, but also developing general skills and confidence, which are useful in everyday communication and interaction.
The training program includes several disciplines: acting, stage speech, vocals, stage movement. For each discipline, a minimum of two academic hours per week is allocated. The classes will be held in the premises of the Eduard Smilgis Theatre Museum (37 E. Smilgis Street, Riga) every Saturday, from March, 2 to May, 25, 2024 (from 10:00 to 16:00). The fee is 180 euros per month, which includes a hot lunch on class days.
